How we research — the rules we can't break

Trust is checkable or it's marketing. Here's exactly how the numbers on this site are made.

1. Prices come from official pricing pages only

Every plan and price is read from the vendor's own pricing page and carries the date we verified it (currently: July 2026). We link the source next to the data. When a vendor changes prices, the page is wrong until we re-verify — that's why the date is always visible, and why the linked official page is the final word before you buy.

2. "Not published" is data, not a blank

Some vendors only reveal pricing on a sales call. We don't fill that gap with rumors: unofficial figures are either omitted or clearly labeled as unverified. Hiding prices costs vendors points with us, because it costs you comparison power.

3. Commissions never touch rankings

Some links are affiliate links (marked with rel="sponsored"). Vendors with no affiliate program still appear in every relevant comparison, and vendors that pay us still lose match-ups where they deserve to. If that ever stops being true, this page is the standard you get to hold us to.

4. No fake testing claims

We don't pretend to run a 40-technician HVAC company. Our verdicts are built from verified pricing and plan structures, official feature documentation, and aggregated user ratings (Capterra and G2, cited with review counts) — not from staged "hands-on reviews".

5. Corrections are a feature

Spotted a stale price or a wrong claim? hello@fitmysoft.com. Verified corrections ship within days and update the verification date.
