Field service software compared: all 7 vendors, real pricing (2026)
Field service management software is the scheduling, dispatch, invoicing and payment platform that home-service businesses (plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, cleaners) use to run jobs from a phone or laptop instead of paper and spreadsheets. This table compares real, vendor-published pricing for all seven major platforms as of July 2026, not marketing claims.
Verified: July 2026 against each vendor's official pricing page. Prices change — confirm before you buy. See how we research.
Pricing transparency is part of our scoring, not a footnote. 3 of 7 vendors (Workiz, ServiceTitan, FieldPulse) publish no pricing — a sales call is required just to get a number.

Jobber: the QuickBooks-friendly pick for lean crews
Jobber suits one- and few-person crews that want clean invoicing and payment collection without buying software built for a 50-truck company. Core is $29/mo annual ($39 on the 1-year commitment) for one user. Connect at $99/mo (five seats) adds QuickBooks sync and payment automation; Grow adds job costing and two-way SMS. Every plan adds users at a flat $29/mo. Jobber holds a 4.6 rating on Capterra across 1,362 reviews, among the highest volumes here — though AI Receptionist and the Marketing Suite sit behind the $399/mo Plus plan. Housecall Pro: the biggest ecosystem, priced per seat
Housecall Pro fits teams that want the deepest bench of built-in features, from GPS tracking to a full Sales Proposal Tool. Basic is $59/mo annual for one user; Essentials jumps to $149/mo for five seats and adds QuickBooks Online/Desktop sync, flat-rate pricing and commissions. MAX at $299/mo (eight seats) is the only tier with a published extra-user cost, $35/mo. Housecall Pro carries the highest review volume here, 4.7 on Capterra across 2,700+ reviews, though its G2 score (4.3) sits lower. Workiz: dispatch-heavy, but you'll need a sales call
Workiz targets multi-truck operations, especially carpet, window and air-duct cleaning crews, that need heavy automation and AI-assisted dispatch. None of its three tiers publish a base price — you request a quote — though its FAQ confirms extra-user costs: $46-55/mo on Standard, $54-65/mo on Pro. Standard includes five users and five automations; Pro adds Genius AI for leads and scheduling; Ultimate scales to inventory and franchise management. Workiz holds a 4.5 on G2 (221 reviews) but no Capterra listing, worth noting since rivals here lean on Capterra. It shows up in our Housecall Pro alternatives and Jobber alternatives. Visit Workiz →
ZenMaid: the cheapest floor, but cleaning-only
ZenMaid isn't trying to be general field service software. It's built exclusively for maid and residential cleaning services: Starter is $19/mo (40 appointments/month cap), Pro is $39/mo unlimited, Pro Max is $49/mo with payroll and full SMS templates. No tier publishes a per-user fee, only a note that SMS charges extra at unpublished amounts. That makes ZenMaid the lowest entry price in this whole comparison, and it holds a strong 4.7 on Capterra across 196 reviews. It won't work for HVAC, plumbing or electrical crews. If cleaning is your business, see our full cleaning business software picks, where it's measured directly against Jobber and Housecall Pro. Visit ZenMaid →
ServiceTitan: built for larger shops, priced behind a sales call
ServiceTitan is the enterprise option here. None of its three tiers publish pricing, and every source we checked confirms a per-technician, demo-only sale with no free trial. Unofficial estimates online cite $150-500 per technician per month, but we couldn't verify that against ServiceTitan's own pages — treat it as a rumor, not a fact. It holds a 4.4 on G2 (656 reviews), with ~325 reviews on Capterra (no average score published there). Its marketing leans toward HVAC, plumbing and electrical operations running multiple trucks, not solo cleaners. Getting ServiceTitan sales calls anyway? Service Fusion: unlimited users, no per-seat math
Service Fusion stands out on one point: every plan includes unlimited users, no per-seat fee. Starter runs $208/mo annual, Plus is $325/mo and adds integrated voice and text, Pro at $533/mo adds the open API and progress billing. That flat-user structure matters if you run a large, lower-paid crew where a $29-35 per-user fee from Jobber or Housecall Pro adds up fast. The tradeoff: GPS fleet tracking and ServiceCall.ai cost extra, and review scores trail the pack, 4.3 on Capterra (308 reviews), 3.9 on G2. It lists cleaning among supported industries with no dedicated maid-service features. See our cleaning software picks if scheduling depth matters more than flat pricing. No affiliate program: Visit Service Fusion →
FieldPulse: seat-based and custom-quoted for franchises
FieldPulse sits between the small-crew tools and ServiceTitan: Essentials, Professional and Enterprise are all custom-quoted, with a seat model separating full-access seats from cheaper field-only seats. QuickBooks sync, automations and the Open API ship in base Essentials, unusually generous next to Jobber or Housecall Pro gating those behind higher tiers. Engage (phone), Operator AI, Fleet Tracking and FieldPulse Payments are paid add-ons. It's the strongest-reviewed vendor here on raw scores, 4.7 on G2 (351 reviews) and 4.6 on Capterra (450 reviews), even though it won't give you a price without a call. See our pricing index for how its unpublished tiers line up. No affiliate program: Visit FieldPulse →
The honest part: what these prices don't tell you
Three vendors here (Workiz, ServiceTitan, FieldPulse) won't give you a number without a sales call, and the rep's job is to keep you on the phone until you sign. Fine for a 40-truck shop, less fine for a two-person crew checking the budget. Per-user pricing is the real trap once you outgrow a plan's included seats: Jobber and Housecall Pro both add $29-35 per extra seat. A 5-person crew on Jobber's Connect that hires three more lands at $139 + 3×$29 = $226/mo — past the $199 Grow plan, so the "cheaper" tier is actually the upgrade. And nobody here cleanly publishes SMS, payment-processing or add-on costs — budget 10-20% above whatever you're quoted, and get the real total in writing before signing an annual contract.

Field service software: common questions
What is field service management software?
Field service management (FSM) software schedules jobs, dispatches crews, tracks time and materials, and handles invoicing and payment, usually from one app the office and field crew share. It replaces paper job sheets and manual routing. Jobber, Housecall Pro, Workiz, ZenMaid, ServiceTitan, Service Fusion and FieldPulse are all FSM software built for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, cleaning and handyman trades.
Which field service software is cheapest?
ZenMaid at $19/mo, but it only works for cleaning businesses. For general field service work, Jobber's Core plan at $29/mo (annual) is the lowest published entry price here. Workiz, ServiceTitan and FieldPulse publish no pricing at all.
Which field service software doesn't publish its pricing?
Workiz, ServiceTitan and FieldPulse require a demo or sales call to get any price, using a custom or per-technician/seat model. That means you can't compare their real cost against Jobber, Housecall Pro, ZenMaid or Service Fusion without a call first.
